We impart
essential skills for dealing with and avoiding
dangerous situations and handling a wide range of
physical attacks. The skills and approach are tuned
specifically for the needs of runners, many of whom
are women. We teach
essential life-saving skills so that when push comes
to shove, you can be confident, aware, and capable
when you need to be.
We offer a short
2 hour clinic that gives
you knowledge skills and actual experience using
them in the drills in the class so you know you can use
them in the real
world. The clinic is not only important and
potentially life-saving, but also a fun and
empowering way to boost confidence. You'll be
impressed with the positive, empowering effect. In
just one class, you will find your inner power and
ability to handle more than you thought you could.
The 2 Hour Clinic
The point of the
clinic is to impart knowledge and skills you know
you can use because you've already used them in our
safe controlled setting. We teach the most essential
defense skills, awareness, recognizing and avoiding
danger, how to use body language and verbal skills
and physical defense moves that will help you escape. We use
role-playing to simulate experiences and let you
practice physical defense in a safe way. You take
away true confidence that will help keep you safe as
well as let you relax and enjoy running more.
Taught in a comfortable beginner-friendly environment,
wear comfortable workout clothes. Make it more fun by getting
all your friends to join you! By the end of this
short course,
students feel more sure of their awareness, body language, boundary
setting and physical defense skills, they will feel safer and
actually be safer.

The
Safe Running Clinic is a single class that will improve your confidence, safety & ability to
handle situations. It could also save your life. It is taught in a safe, friendly environment. Unpleasant
things happen to good people. The best way to avoid trouble is to
prepare and practice awareness and defense skills in role playing
just in case you need them. Recognize danger, learn how to avoid it and
handle attacks if it comes to that. We offer invaluable tools for
anyone who runs and walks on streets or trails,
which is pretty much everyone. The best way to avoid a fight is
build up your awareness, confidence and skills so you can detect, avoid and/or de-escalate danger before it gets out of
hand. Participants learn to overcome and face
confrontations assertively and confidently.

women, since they are more often the target of violence.
Pricing/ Schedule
The safe running class is $69 per person. If
you are bringing in a group of 10 or more, we offer the
lower price of $49 per person. If you bring a good sized
group to us, we not only offer a better price, we can
work out a day and time that works best for your running
group.
However, your running group
can elect to pay the normal price of $69/person anyway,
in which case we will donate the extra $20 from every
student towards the Victoria Sexual Assault Center. It's
an important organization that helps women who need
information and counseling. At Dynamic Defense, we like
to focus on prevention, but as long as bad things
continue to occur, we like to contribute to care after
the fact as well.
